It is good to give thanks unto the Lord whole hearted for the much he has done and go's marvelous deeds.
Giving God thanks is for what he has done.
There is a blessing after giving offering and tithing but for thanksgiving there is no strings attached.
First harvest offering shows that one has no need of the much food.
Psalms:9.1
For the director of music. To [the tune of] "The Death of the Son." A psalm of David. I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.

I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
Psalms:9.3
My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you.
There is a life that a person can live and prevent one from doing the works of the Lord.

Of David. Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Psalms:103.2
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--
Psalms:103.3
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
Psalms:103.4
who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
Psalms:103.5
who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
We have every reason to thank the Lord.
