Leadership is a capacity to lead to be in charge or in charge of.

GOD HAS EVERY ANSWER FOR OUR PRAYERS

Tuesday, 17 October 2017

Here's your word for today:

*Jeremiah 17:9-10*

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it ?

"I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve."

*Reflections on Today's Scripture:*

Jesus told us that what is in our heart ultimately works its way out into our activities.

The great wise man told us to guard our heart because it is the spring well of our life.

Jeremiah wants us to know that God knows our heart.

We want to stress the importance of what goes into our hearts because it really makes a difference in what goes on inside our heart.

Invite the Lord in to what you *do, think, read, watch,* and *hear* and ask Him to remove those things that are not worthy of your time and interest.

*PRAYER:*

Righteous Father, please help me guard my heart and be wise enough not to place things into it that would rob it of its devotion to you.

I want to be pure through and through.

Please search me and help me remove everything that would steal my devotion from you and ruin my influence with others.

Through Jesus I pray,

*AMEN.*

What does ushering entails??

=>Studying of the word must portray who you are...
=>Be equipped with the word that you can share... read the word that it may read to make you grow before sharing with that other person
=>Ushering grows to the outside the walls of the church
=>Be aware of good stewardship -entrusted with something that you manage it well as if it's yours.

Basics of ushering
*Arrive before service time begins.
*Prayer positions.
*Learn Ushering signals

(On YouTube watch ushering with a mission ...)

Colossians 3:17
Colossians 3:23_24

Do all in the name of Jesus...
Serve in sincerity of  heart and wholeheartedly....

Ushering involves guiding and leading ..

Ushers bring about order... and creating conducive environment for the rest of the people..
We should stand in gap for the rest.

Needs total humility as an usher for you to accommodate everyone.

Grace of God is pour in us to do the tasks of God.

Ushering is all about humbling, guiding and giving directions in the aspect of God.

Things that make ushering to be effective

*Be joyous => Be happy to make other happy too....

*Prayers =>To strengthen our inner self. Nehemiah acted as an usher in Nehemiah 1... You should take individual over watching others .he did seek God first. It's a weapon to use.
Prayers full of word...Be full of the word like Jesus ....

*Word of God ..
It's our reference point => The bible

*Presentation => before men and before the Lord. Mathew 5:13 We are leaders... how we relate with members of the church affects others in connection with God during the services. We should act to the best we are the face of the church.

*SCISSORS COUPLES: 👫✂✂✂*

I needed to use the scissors this morning and as I finished with it, I looked at it carefully and I saw that, the scissors models an ideal couple.
_ Let's see some lessons every couple should learn from the scissors so that we can become better couples & build enviable homes._

*LESSON 1:*
_The scissors is always in pairs and that's where its usefulness is. Once you see one part and the other part is not there, it is useless no matter how beautiful it is._
The effectiveness of every marriage is lost when couples are not together. Separation and divorce destroy the effectiveness and usefulness of every marriage. Remember, 'united we stand, divided we fall'. Separation is not only when you separate physically & you are no longer living together. There are many couples who are together under the same roof but are spiritually, emotionally, sexually, financially, socially, etc separated. Are you sure you and your spouse are not separated in one of these ways?

*LESSON 2:*
_The togetherness of scissors is not automatic. There is a small bolt or pin that fix the scissors together in the middle._
In the same vein, if couples must be bounded together like this scissors, there must be 'bolts' that must fix and wed them together that will make them inseparable. Some of the 'bolts' are:
√The presence of God
√ openness& trust
√ Unity
√ Healthy & joyful sex life
√ family vision
√ good family finance
√ hot family altar, etc.
I tried separating this scissors this morning, but the pin was so deep into it that it was not easy for me to separate them.

*LESSON 3:*
_The scissors is useless except someone holds it._
Couples can't be effective except they allow God to hold them and use them to achieve their marital destiny. No family is really useless. It is either you are positively useful and that happens when it is God holding the two of you. You will be negatively useful when it is the devil holding the two of you. The devil can hold the two of you and use you to destroy each other, and destroy the future of your children and even destroy your eternity. Ask yourself as couples. Who is holding us and holding our family?

*LESSON 4:*
_Each pair of the scissors has a sharp part and a dull part. The face is sharp while the back is dull._
In the same vein, each couple has his/ her area of strengths and weaknesses. Your spouse is not empty. Though you might see the 'dull part' of your spouse, but if you want your marriage to accomplish its purpose; you must recognize the 'sharp part' of your spouse. You also must display your 'sharp part' (strengths). Don't just display your 'dull part'. That destroys marriage fast!.

*LESSON 5:*
_Synergy in working: The pairs must come together before it can cut whatever you want to use it to cut. Each pair will bring its sharpness and join it with the sharpness of the other and cutting will be done easily and smoothly._
In like manner, synergy is the energy of any family. All this: my money, my car, my own, my thing, me, mine, myself syndromes will sap away the energy of your marriage.

_ your resources, money, connection, visions as couples, so as to give energy to your marriage to advance it to the next level. 'I'ness is the mother of illness in marriage while 'WE'ness is the mother of wellness of every marriage._

*You want energy for your marriage?, then go for synergy. Only 'SCISSORS COUPLES' are SERIOUS COUPLES.*

Habakkuk 2:14

*Habakkuk  2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.*

This is the Word the Holy Spirit has put in my heart to stand on for the rest of my life. I believe that the Bible is a book of prophecy, not a mere academic treatise, and that means come hell come high water all that's written therein must come to pass.

Recently, the Lord told me that the problem with the current church has been that instead of being led by the Holy Spirit, they lead the Holy Spirit. We want God to fit in our definitions of Him, thus we're creating God in our own image. This is a tragedy because the church has become a place of reproach because we have too many opinions rather than solutions for problems in the world.

This is the reason the glory of this latter house seems to be lesser, lighter and dimmer than that of the former. There's no glory apart from the Holy Ghost, and we need to be reminded that  it is not by might or by power, but by the Spirit of the LORD. Am looking forward to the days of healing shadows, handkerchiefs and aprons.

Beloved, let's cheer up, for the Words of the prophets are still alive waiting for us to step into them.
Blessings. 🤗

DO YOU HAVE THE MIND OF EXCELLENCE LIKE DANIEL

DANIEL 1:
1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.

2 And the Lord delivered Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, along with some of the articles from the temple of God. These he carried off to the temple of his god in Babylonia and put in the treasure house of his god.

3 Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, chief of his court officials, to bring in some of the Israelites from the royal family and the nobility-

4 young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king's palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians.

5 The king assigned them a daily amount of food and wine from the king's table. They were to be trained for three years, and after that they were to enter the king's service.

6 Among these were some from Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah.

7 The chief official gave them new names: to Daniel, the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.

8 But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.

9 Now God had caused the official to show favor and sympathy to Daniel,

10 but the official told Daniel, "I am afraid of my lord the king, who has assigned your food and drink. Why should he see you looking worse than the other young men your age? The king would then have my head because of you."

11 Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah,

12 "Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink.

13 Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see."

14 So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.

15 At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food.

16 So the guard took away their choice food and the wine they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead.

17 To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.

18 At the end of the time set by the king to bring them in, the chief official presented them to Nebuchadnezzar.

19 The king talked with them, and he found none equal to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah; so they entered the king's service.

20 In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.

21 And Daniel remained there until the first year of King Cyrus.

Be wise and learn to involve God

*Beauty* is not a guarantee to marriage .
*Falling sick* does not mean you are about to die.
*Getting rich* is not the definition of prosperity.
*Building a nice house* is not enjoying luxury.
*Sleeping on an expensive bed* does not bring you sound sleep.
*Driving a new car* is not a guarantee that you gonna reach where you are going.
*Wearing expensive clothes* does not guarantee smartness.
*Owning a family doctor* does not guarantee permanent health.
*Being highly educated* is not a sign of wisdom.
*Marrying a rich guy* does not guarantee happy marriage. *Winning an argument* does not mean that you were correct.
*Whatever is done without the merit of Heaven* is fake and temporal.
*He who builds without God* is building for nothing ;
and he who *watches over a city* without God, watches in vain. *Not everything is possible with men, yet everything is possible with God.*

*GOD BLESS YOU*

*I Wish I Could Be a Brother Like That* _Doug Nichols_

Years ago in the Philippines, I heard a story of a man who parked his car in his office complex in downtown Manila. There was a street boy nearby and to pick up some money, the boy asked if he could watch (guard) the man’s car while he was in the office.

Several hours later, when the man came back to get his nice Mercedes, he paid the boy some loose change and, as he was getting in his car, the little street boy said, “Mister, you sure have a nice car.” The man was quite surprised that this boy had even spoken to him and said, “Well, thank you.” Then the little boy said, “Where did you get your car? Did somebody give it to you?” The man replied, “Well yes, somebody did give it to me. My brother gave it to me.”As he continued to get in the car, he expected the boy to say something like, “Oh, I wish I had a brother who would give me a nice car.” Instead, he heard the little boy say, “Your brother gave it to you? I wish I could be a brother like that.

The man was so amazed at the statement of the little boy, he asked, “Have you ever been in a nice car like this?” The little boy said, “No.” The man replied, “Well, get in. Let me give you a ride.” The boy jumped up in the front seat and as they drove down the road, the man had to roll down the windows because the little boy was so smelly.

The boy was so joyful and in awe that he said, “Sir, could we go get my little brother and give him a ride too?” The man said, “Tell me about your brother. Where is he?” The boy pointed at a poor slum area of Manila called Tondo. They drove there and parked and the man said, “Go get your brother and we will give him a ride.”

The little boy ran down a filthy alleyway and a few minutes later came back with his little brother on his back, as he was crippled! The man said, “So this is your little brother; what’s wrong with him?” as they put him up in the front seat. The little boy said, “He had an accident. He’s crippled and can’t walk.”

As they drove and talked, the man found out that the brother had a crippling accident and because his family was so poor, they could not get him the medical care he needed.

The businessman said, “Well, my brother is a doctor. Why don’t we go see him and find out what he can do for your little brother.” After the examination they found that after a simple operation, the boy would be able to walk again. The operation was performed and the little boy who could not walk, but had a brother who loved him, was able to walk again.

Why did all this happen? Simply because of the unselfishness of someone caring for someone else, rather than for himself. So, might we have the words on our lips, “I wish I could be a brother (or mother, father, sister, fellow worker) like that.”

In the words of the missionary, the Apostle Paul, “…regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others” (Philippians 2:3-4, nasb).

_Yes, “I wish I could be a brother like that_.”

Kindly receive this blessings
